Luggage Tracking Technology
True Story
A few years ago I went through a streak where my luggage was lost for six consecutive trips to Europe. The upside was that I learned how to say “Where do you keep the underwear?” in various languages. The downside was that instead of doing fun things the first day in Europe I was scrambling around trying to find underwear, toothbrushes etc.
Now that my children are old enough to travel losing bags is not an option. We do not want to risk the sleepless nights of not having our favorite stuffed animal so let me introduce you to “Trakdot”. It was one of the highlights of this year’s Consumer Electronics Show.
Batteries Not Included
It uses AA batteries and shuts itself down automically after liftoff. After landing it turns itself on and you can use their app or website to track the location of your bag. The unit starts at $50 and I’m assuming you have to buy the app.
So next time you are off to Paris to find the Les Mis locations…you won’t have to worry about having your toothbrush.
