I have to admit I originally thought these photos were Photoshopped but alas…
Dutch artist Berndnaut Smilde has figured out a way to create a cloud in a gallery space. The cloud only lasts for a few brief moments but it creates a unique spatial quality inside of the space. An indoor cloud is unexpected and a lot of work and planning goes into it.
You’ve got to get the interior air, temperature light and a fog machine. All of this for a cloud that will only last for a few minutes and the bonus is you get to reinforce the idea of the fleeting quality of art and nature.
Thanks to Hi-Fructose for the Heads-Up.
